The World Is Yours: Scarface

With a week off work, I decided to dedicate my time to finishing off some Infinity models. Unfortunately I actually only managed to get one done in that whole time. But at least it's TAG sized! Scarface (minus Cordelia).

The green is airbrushed for a gradient effect, same with the grey on the legs and knife and guns. Everything else is by hand. I used oil washes for the first time on this model and they worked really well, so much so I'm going to paint my Steel Phalanx using this technique.

  1. Great paintjob. What is the green you're using?

    1. Hey thanks ;) I started with a base coat of black, followed by a fairly even base colour of GW's Castellan Green. Over that I blended in Vallejo Model Color Yellow Green which gives the slightly olive look to it. I then lightened only the most prominent areas or exposed areas, with GW Elysian Green. And the lightest extreme highlight was with GW Nurgling Green. All through an airbrush. I used the Nurgling Green to do the edge highlights too with a very slight extra edge of Vallejo Model Air Pastel Green to pick out the corners etc. Pre-edge highlight it was oil washed with Burnt Umber with a dot of Lamp Black in it. Hope that helps!

    2. Thanks for the answer! =) I'll receive Scarface in the mail in a couple of days and I was really curious about this olive-greeny colour his TAG has. I'm mainly using Vallejo Game Colour, so I'll probably have to test a couple of paint-mixtures to get the right tone. Thanks a lot though ;)
Now, I really need to get myself an airbrush.
